ObiSean: I'm having this same issue, but without the cloud. I went to reload the latest autosave (which should have been the beginning of the dungeon) and found the only save was about 2 hours old and at the beginning of the dragon sequence.I do have all the old saves from my first playthrough a year ago, so I figured I'd hit some sort of limit. I got past the part with the dragon wrecking the castle, broke into the monestary, and was working on escaping the dungeon when I decided to have some fun and died. I beat the game on release and have the other saves to prove there are autosaves during the prologue after the part with the dragon.

I'm having this same issue, but without the cloud. When you reach this limit, don't worry, your oldest saves will be automatically removed from the cloud (but not from your hard drive) to make space for new ones.I guess a bug prevented that from happening and stopped registering my saves alltogether. I think it might have been the steamcloud limit of 100Mb that didn't allow any more saves.According to Dan Forever the old saves should have been replaced with newer ones when I reach the limit. In the Steam library, if you right click-properties and go to the 'updates' tab, you'll see how much space you have available for storing files on steam cloud. You sure you have enough space on your drive? Yes, I have more than 200Gb available, the entire gamesaves folder is only 3.36Mb.I just checked if I had steamcloud enabled and it seems I do, there are a lot of saves in L:Steamuserdata920remote but none past a certain point. I just checked mine and I have a ton of saves in there, so it would appear you may be experiencing some kind of glitch. Coelocanth: I don't know if there's a limit, but that's the right place for your saves. So now that I see none of those saves are there I'm very annoyed, is there a save limit or does the game only show a certain number of saves? I was told that my save files are located in DocumentsWitcher 2gamesaves but there are only 3 save files in there, I hope that the savefiles are just misplaced and that I'll be able to find them again/someone will be able to help me. This walkthrough for The Witcher 2 explains the consequences of your decisions in both At A Crossroads missions to help you choose between Scoia'tael and Vernon Roche.Īfter hours of playtime I discovered that none of the autosaves or manual saves were actually saved on my pc, I saved for major crossroads (such as choosing vernon roche's or iorveth's side) so that later I could replay those and choose differently.
